Terms of service

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of InterviewTrail AI ("the Service"), operated at interviewtrail.ai. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

InterviewTrail AI is a job search and interview preparation tool. It provides application tracking, interview management, AI-powered question prediction, answer generation, resume match analysis, and a career knowledge base.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions and content. AI outputs are provided as-is and should be treated as starting points, not final answers or professional advice.

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You may also try the Service as a guest without registering. Guest sessions are temporary and expire after 7 days. If you register during a guest session, your guest data is migrated to your new account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

AI features in the Service consume credits. Each new account receives a free credit allowance. Additional credits can be obtained through subscription plans or one-time credit packs.

Subscription credits expire at the end of the subscription period. One-time credit pack credits do not expire.

All purchases are processed through our payment provider. Prices are listed in the applicable currency on the pricing page.

Refunds for unused subscription time or unused credit packs may be requested within 7 days of purchase by contacting hello@interviewtrail.ai. Credits that have already been consumed are non-refundable.

The Service generates content using third-party AI models. This content is based on information you provide (career data, job descriptions, resumes) and should not be treated as factual, professional, or legal advice.

You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before using it in applications, interviews, or any other context.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated outputs.

You agree not to use the Service to: submit false or misleading information to employers; generate content for purposes unrelated to job seeking; attempt to access other users' data; reverse-engineer or scrape the Service; use automated tools to create accounts or consume credits in bulk.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You retain ownership of all content you create and enter into the Service, including career projects, stories, and application data.

AI-generated outputs (predicted questions, model answers, match analyses) are provided for your personal use. You may use them freely in your job search.

The Service itself, including its code, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of InterviewTrail AI.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. If we make changes that materially reduce the functionality you are paying for, we will provide reasonable notice.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InterviewTrail AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, inaccurate AI outputs, or data loss.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting hello@interviewtrail.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Tokyo, Japan.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
